What We Do
|
St. James, Streatham has one main Sunday service each week, starting at 10:30 am. The format varies between three main types across each month, though this sequence is not always followed - check What's On for details of upcoming services.
1st Sundays of the month: Worship Together - geared towards the whole family (children stay in throughout)
2nd, 4th, 5th Sundays: Holy Communion
3rd Sundays: Morning Worship
Periodically, we hold joint services with the other members of Churches of West Streatham, and also special services for Christmas, Easter, and other significant dates in the church calendar.
We also hold services and prayer meetings during the week,

Children's & Youth Groups
We value young people very highly at St. James, as equal members of our church community. Every Sunday, except for Worship Together services, we have a range of children's & youth groups which meet for part of the service, and a creche which is available on all Sundays for babies and very young children. The childrens groups are are targetted at different age groups, as follows:
Creche - for babies and children up to two years old
Bubbles - nursery to five (reception & year 1)
Splash - ages six to eight (years 2 & 3)
Xstream - ages eight to eleven (years 4 to 6)
Resonate - ages eleven to fourteen (years 7 to 9)
Deeper Connections - ages fourteen to eighteen (years 10 upwards)
Impact takes place every Sunday evening, for ages fourteen to 18. This is held in the Furzedown Youth Centre.
